Just another stolen device from the Coanda's inventions !
The shameless guy is a thief and a lier ,the bagless vacuum cleaner was also stolen from another old Coanda's patent.
For such braveries ,the old and pervert lady made him her knight . Shame !

does it have a cooling effect? for instance, during a hot summer day, will the wind cool off as much as a bladed fan (or feel like it anyway) ?

I wish he had some sort of visual aid that showed how much air it was moving. as it is, the thing may be making noise and not doing anything and we woudnt be the wiser.

I can't recall ever feeling uncomfortable because of the buffeting of a bladed fan. But this is a great idea! I wonder if there's any application for this concept in propulsion.

The invention is old and belongs to the great Romanian inventor Henri Coanda.
He noticed the fenomenon first in 1910 when he tested his jet aircraft on a field near to Paris.
Later he studied and patented about the "Coanda effect" ,few identical with the "british" bladeless fan.Just look the Coanda patents on the net...
If Dyson would be fair and would mention the name of the true inventor ,he could benefy the brand Coanda to sell his fans too.
