Maybe I am a bit cynical but who uses fans anymore? LOL I am an industrial design student and as much as I love his inventions and products, I just never had a use for a fan, especially if it costs 300 dollars! I mean, you might as well get an A/C for your home if you are concerned about staying cool in the summer, versus some fan that just blows a "breeze" at you.

@cjs33139 Um my husband and I use a fan when we sleep. The noise and airflow is soothing. Plus if you've ever lived in the SW United States you'd know why a fan is useful.

@ibcnuldu I have used fans too in hot climates and found them to be useless because they just blow hot humid air. If you find them useful, that's fine. :) Just curious, do you use it TOGETHER with A/C or just alone? Very few people I know find that fans are enough to cool them down. But then again, maybe you don't use fans for cooling but more for the soothing airflow effect? I just find that Dyson's fan is just overpriced for merely being a fan.

@cjs33139 We use the A/C along with it. But we'd probably be fine just with the fans. That being said, $300 for a fan is ridiculous. Plus since we like the noise while we sleep this wouldn't be helpful.

Bloody cheek of that Telepgraph arse, he shouldn't have pestered Dyson over the issue of Politics, this is about the fan the man himself is of no interest without his inventions and that's the one thing he almost completely ignored in that subversive interview.

Good fan.

how about cleaning the internal turbofan? LOL

Besides. it's way too loud in my opinion... and all the dust that will be accumulated inside the intake can be a nuisance.

Dude that fan looks sweet! I'm getting one when its more available in the US.

Nevermind I just read koyotegambit's post and $300 is way to expensive.
