Respect and best wishes to Alex!

However, he is not the first top level one-handed player. Héctor Castro was both World (1930) and Olympic (1928)Champion for Uruguay. He also scored the first ever World cup goal for Uruguay, as well as the last one in the winning final vs. Argentina.

I also know about an East German player, who even captained his National team back in the 50es, but I do knot remember his name.
