Having previously owned these speakers, I can say they are a great monitor speaker for moderate to smaller sized listening rooms. They extend down well into the mid 30s, which is pretty good for a speaker of this size. They are fairly flexible in terms of placement, but one is obviously rewarded with care in set-up. I ran these with both tubes & SS. Tubes were BAT VK-60s in bridged mono, SS was either a Krell FPB200 or ML 331.5. The best feature of these speakers is their external cross-over

i dont know how you could possible have thumbs down on this work of art in design and sound...even through crappy pc speakers you can tell this is magic.
