hey.. I might be going on people to people exploring europe this summer. If I get accepted, Im going to have to fundraise alot. i was just wondering how you did it for $4000?

Hey...the main thing that I did was I sent out letters to like seriously everybody that I know and that my parents knew, like friends, relatives, old friends, oh yeah, and also local businesses...it's suprising how willing people are to help you out...I said in the letter what the program was and all taht and why it was good, but I also said that if they gave me a certain amount I would send them a postcard and if they gave over 50 dollars I would invite them to a dinner thing afterwords and

ok...this picks up from the last one...dinner thing afterwords and tell them about my trip and show them pictures and stuff...I think I ended up getting like 4000 from that...it was more than I thought, but it was worth it...I also did a raffle thing, but I didn't make much off of that...

wow thats awesome. its like a really good idea. Ill keep it in mind =] I know I would need to fundraise alot if I get to go, but i know I have to be realistic in what I could do so thanks, I might use your idea! lol

hey no problem...you definitely have to be realistic but you can do it...it takes a lot of work at times, but it's worth it...there was no way I could have gone if I didn't raise nearly all of the money for it, so it's definitely possible if you're willing to work for it

Hey! It was pretty good...you should definitely try to go if you can. If cost is a problem you should try to do fundraising...I ended up raising about $4000 so I only had to pay about $1000 out of pocket.

yeah defenately. Basically if I don't fundraise enough I can't go so Im very willing. The program is Exploring Europe.. England France and Italy. Im happy with it =]..well Id probably be happy with any of them

yeah, money is deff. not an issue with me, so luckily thats the only thing i dont worry about =P i really excited tho, i hope i get in ! (: i should find out soon if i get in, so yeahhhh ! (: haha

lol thats funny i went to the d.c. one and we have little shows on the bus and one of the boys on our bus sang this (it was really funny)
