The movie was set in the 70s if I am not mistaken. They did a good job too. Cause everything looks 70sish. The clothing. Hair. vehicles.

In the original draft, Stephen King had the Werewolf speak. He drank beer and ate the bottle in the first scene and mocked his victims. It would have been ridicolous and funny.
