what amp and what settings are you using ?

Man you sure have a lot of distortion pedals and all that stuff. Lol.

This may sound like a wierd, way off topic question (because it is), but how long does it take to form calluses on your finger tips? Im a newbie with his little shitty squier. Just wonderin though, thanks!

A Hiwatt amp with an Epiphone guitar?

Nice full tone. Have you changed out your pickups? If not, congrats on getting such a crisp sound from the stock epi pups.

Yup Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and 59 in the neck

If I'm trying to pull out some clear but heavily distorted tones (see Between The Buried And Me: Ants of The Sky) would you recommend the Boss Metal Zone II or the Ibanez Tubescreamer reissue?

Depends on your amp. The amp would be more important than the pedal

Could I use one of these as a gain boost for my amp?

You could use the OD-3 as a boost but there are better pedals on the market for boosting your signal. I use a an SPF Ego Booster
