Deep stretch (2:40) perfect preparation for splits.
These exercises have helped me keep my 'dancer's skin' even though my stage activity has become sporadic. I highly recommend them... Interval moves: 2:10 - 2:40 = inertia from choreographic research.
These moves are tried over many years and found true.
Music is Solaris by Keith Martinez n°1 : "Is that what everybody wants?" I'm not counting the music but the moves are precisely calibrated around the crescendos within it.
Standing for balance is executed alternating right and left legs front side and back.
Sequence : bend - straighten/extend - trun in - turn out - ankle flex - point - flatten onto 2 feet on the floor - bend - straighten - rise/arc - descend - bend leg in - turn out extend - 2 feet - squeeze together.
For the first (front) tip-toe rise, think of sticking the sternum to the ceiling (0:20) (0:40) To the side, try to cradle the head onto the bicep,( 0:55) (1:12) and the third time, think of an immense bird of prey spreading it's wings and scrutinizing the landscape (1:32) (1:52)
A series of deep knee bends (grand plies) would be the logical follow-up. That's for another video
@MrFlavioFerreira Yes, of course, go right ahead; that's why I posted it!
Thank you for your kind comment. I think it is a good exercise, totally original, flows naturally. Good luck.
