Thats funny, i never thought Louise treated George very good. She was a nag to him, whined when she did not get her way, even after 20 years of marriage she still did not trust him and was quick to jump to the conclusion that he was cheating on her (several episodes). She was also a hypocrite when it came to George and often displayed double standards when it came to men and women. Forbidding George to do things that she herself did (going to strip clubs, sketching nudes, etc etc).

My mom said at first not many people weren't happy that they had a black maid working for a black family, but once you really got into the series, you see she wasn't no ordinary maid. Loud, feisty, flip with the lip, everything. Let's face it, without Florence the show wouldn't have had that special "oomph" lol
