Ron Block (from Allison Krauss and Union Station) shares about the leaf of faith he took in creating his solo album, and the importance of Galatians 2:20 in his life.
@joroma77 I don't like the NIV either, but your comparison is not fair. If you read these passages in context, they are not nearly so different. Your editing was done to make them look much more different than they are, which is less than forthright. All of that said, the KJV is the best translation I have seen. "Thou shalt not kill", however, is incorrect. The correct translation is " Thou shalt not murder", which is much different. KJV is very good, but not without error.
The good news is you are going to live forever. And the bad news, for most people, is they are going to live forever. You get to decide what type of environment you live in. Chose wisely.
Ron, I am a banjo picker and we are learning a few of your songs just recently. I really am a fan of yours and now that I have heard your testimony and love for Jesus Christ I am a much BIGGER fan! He is coming back soon and everyone better be ready because you'll bow to the Father whether you want to or not.
@OnWhiteLake They'll be a day when you wished you would've listened a little more to all this "nonsense". Do us all a favor, next time you get ready to flap off at the mouth....right before you hint enter just pull the big black cord going to the top back corner of your computer. I'll be praying for you.
As a recent new fan of Union Station, I came across this video of this really good guitar player, Ron Block. By good I mean REALLY good. However, I roll my eyes with great gusto hearing this superstitious foolishness he spits out in this video. What a disturbing crock of stunning nonsense. 2:20? Are you freakin kidding me Block !?!? Did someone hit him over the head with a banjo or something? My admiration for him has suddenly taken a major leap backwards.
always stay with the KJV, everything else has been changed off of it, people wanting to make something right thats not, and the end of the Bible says not to change anything in the Bible, if you do you lose your portion.
@OnWhiteLake We're all entitled to our beliefs and opinions. He probably thinks that your belief in chance is pretty silly.

@bigmrclean "I'll be praying for you."
Go nuts, but please - PLEASE - don't tell Santa to not bring me gifts this year. THAT would be tragic.

The NIV version of Galatians 2;20 has it WRONG! It's a majorly deceitful, disgusting "translation".
NIV reads: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live". So what's this pulse I feel in my wrist?
KJV (The Authorized Bible) reads: "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live". That's the truth!
