His fluidity and transition from one technique to another is AMAZING
i thank Marcelo for being inspirational and proving that size doesnt matter

@JohnRaymondWilliams This is how some school teach you to tie the belt. It actually works pretty well. THe belt, if tied tight enough will not come undone.

how many guys has garcia put his dick up in? this vid seems to suggest hes a pro at it

I'm a Marcelo fan, but i think its funny that at his level he still doesn't tie his belt properly. you can see it in all of his videos, when he ties the knot he doesn't wrap both strands of the belt, only the outer one. oh well

You're right about that, GHRepresent. You need the gi to really build strong basics. I hate schools that call themselves "BJJ schools" but do not mandate the gi in any of their classes. They just let students come in as a mishmash of gi and no-gi.

@RepentKingdom thai bo? Seriously? Billy Blanks?

@RightWingCon81 That's understandable if most of the bbj practitioners train with the gi imo;/
I don't claim to be an expert, i'm just fond of mma in general, i practice boxing /thai bo mainly, but i think that it's like in boxing, when you put on those big glaves, with handwraps that maintain your wrists, you can punch from many more different angles, but the day you've got to fight bareknuckles you're going to break your hand because you don't mimic exactly what you'll be confronted with :/
Marcelo garcia or eddie bravo?
How is that even an option?

The most technical bjj fighters are ones who train with the gi. The gi has a purpose, no gi you develop many bad habits in how slippery you are and how sloppy you escape positions. The gi takes the strength out of the game and forces you to use your hips and find the technical escape. I do believe in training both and not becoming to gi dependent however.
