This is an excellent video which talks about Ignatius, who knew several of the apostles and wrote letters on the way to his death testifying to the life, death and resurrection of Christ. Lee also talks about the importance of historical evidence in Christianity.

@audiotrax2000 thats not the same argument. The terrorists died for what they believed to be true, while the apostles died for what they knew for to be true(More probable) Or for what they knew was a lie, thats the difference,a major difference.
MrUrosSrb 1 month ago
@MrUrosSrb It's not different at all. Lee Strobel constantly use examples, such as St. Ignatius, who were willing to die rather than renounce their faith. They claim he and others like him wouldn't have laid down their lives unless they knew Christianity to be absolutely true. The 9/11 attacks are a more recent example, but throughout history in virtually every faith we see there is nothing special about zealots willing to die for their faith regardless of the evidence.

Let''s 'Connect the Dots' here, being that Most Christians generally DON'T do the Eucharist, Ignatius, who was a DIRECT Student of the Apostles emphasised the IMPORTANCE
of the Eucharist, ALL Christians cannot deny now that the Eucharist is very Important,
Otherwise Ignatius, AGAIN, who was a direct Student of the Apostles would not have
have said it was important, Most Christians think the Eucharist is not necessary, but
WHY did Ignatius say it was as a Student of the ORIGINAL Apostles?
truthseeker9261 1 month ago
@audiotrax2000 Because they were doing that because of faith, but Ignatius was friend with apostles who were supposed to be eyewitnesses of Jesus.Much difference there.

First: how do you know that story is historically accurate? 2nd: by your same reasoning the historically known to be a fact terrorists that flew an airliner into the world trade center must be evidence that they knew the truth. Why aren't you converting to Islam? It's the stronger evidence. Think people, think!!

Zechariah 14: 2 is not Gods command to rape anyone through Zechariah God is warning of the coming tribulation in a prophecy. I`m hopeful you know the difference.
Numbers 31:17-18 I see no command to rape anyone in the two verses? except that in your some what coloured view of God you think wrongly that verse 18 might mean to rape the girls or keep them as some kind of sex slave? Neither of which is true. The girls where added to the number within the tribes and spared any suffering

@FeignofCordor Zechariah 14: 1-2, I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Numbers 31:17-18, Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.
