Original Air Date: December 09th, 2009

A below average fighting game in just about every sense of the term. The game has a terrible roster of characters (six and a half) with only five fights in the "Hero" (story) mode (as you don't fight yourself or your carbon copy, Lang), crappy special moves with Kerrel/Lang having perhaps the most crappy assortment of "moves" out of all the characters in the game, incredibly dumb yet cheap A.I., and dodgy controls/hit detection (the guy Adrick throws me before I even land in the video).

On one hand, the Hero mode seems impossible to those just starting, but you'll quickly learn that all characters sucuumb to the same dumb strategy of evading air attacks and then getting thrown at close range (not to mention all characters can do this). Do this for the whole game and you should even beat the cheap final boss with ease. Don't, and I can't guarantee your survival. There is practically no gameplay whatsoever. About the only thing that I would consider a saving grace at all is the music and acceptable visuals, and that's still not saying tooooo much.

  • American Sammy is terrible at making fighters... And let's not even think about the MK-wannabe Survival Arts for the arcade.

  • @alvieao2 Survival Arts was actually developed by Scarab, who also developed Dyna Gear, Killing Zone and Battle Monsters.

By my taste, it isn't REALLY BAD. The only thing I disliked was the final boss being overpowered.

It is similar to MK, but MK's best known features were already done in some fighting games predating it. It isn't always necessary to innovate; only being good is.

  • This was one of the first games I have ever played! So many memories.

  • it seems ok but it also seems like they my have been a little or didn't want too put as much time in to it. this game seems too use in game fighting technique
