  • @insaneinthesfv Okay. I hadn't seen the interviews and that's really the only time the camera was on a band member's face catching anything close to an eye roll. Thanks for clearing that up.

  • @MooseOfReason First - thank you for bringing me back to this awesome video! It's actually considered one of their more infamous performances due to Ed Sullivan's urged lyric edit. The band has gone on record saying that while they complied, they were pretty annoyed at fact that they had to do it. Mick was interviewed in the 80s about this performance, and he did mention the eye rolls, I was actually looking for them when I first came here.

  • @insaneinthesfv I don't think that was an eye-roll.

  • @BettyVanSneeIV the Beatles were far from clean in '67... Ever since they met Dylan back in '64 they deviated from their early "She loves you" faze. I like the Stones better but at that point the Beatles did incredibly complicated and more innovative stuff.

  • Just think. A half hour later they were in full Nazi uniforms hahah.

  • 1:26 Bill Wyman rolling his eyes at the forced lyrical change is made of win.

  • @1911a1gizzy LOL you know, everyone knew what the song lyrics were, after the numbskull Ed Sullivan caused the ruckus...just as now, when the numbskulls stopped the words "make a dead man come" no one would have (perhaps) realized that was what MJ was saying...

Everyone waited for that moment, that MJ dragged out, Let's spend ... ........some time....together

made Sullivan look like the ditz he was (bless his heart).

  • I love them in 1967

  • Mick looks just great ♥

  • I just figured out that Brian was the one who was playing in time and keeping the rhythm. Keith and Charlie used to blame it on each other for being out of time. The Stones are not as good or imaginative without him. They are still good though.
