Here Jamie is demonstrating how to purify drinking water. Notice that we're sitting away from the stream by using a pan of water - causes less disturbance to the stream bank and is a bit more comfortable for us.
Our camp was at about 11,200 feet (3,400 metres) alongside Needle Creek in the San Juan National Forest (Weminuche Wilderness). We were able to climb four 14ers and one 13er on this particular outing.
