Michigan GOP Attorney General candidate Bill Schuette is on duty...for Big Oil. The 25-year career politician has taken numerous campaign contributions from Big Oil companies, and even sponsored and voted for legislation that allows drilling for oil in the Great Lakes. If Bill Schuette had his way, Michigan could be facing the same crisis as the Gulf of Mexico. We need an Attorney General who will stand up to the Big Oil companies, not do their bidding.

  • Regardless of who's in who's pocket, which they are all in someones pocket, I'm against any oils rigs in the middle of the great Lake of Michigan! The risk does not out weigh the cost of of a few barrels of oil. The miless of fresh water above ground and below ground. Peoples wells being comtanianted, the fishing industry, the vaction and vistors being drove away like the gulf coast. The wild life, the St. Joesph river, all depend on Lake Michigan. NO oil rigs in our Lake PERIOD!!!!

  • @MsMichiganer Except that if you actually read the review of this add on Michigan Truth Squad, you see that it is a combination of half truths and lies - and, as I've pointed out, Pres. Obama seems to be the one who is truly in big oil's pocket based on campaign contributions and post election policy.

  • The more telling question: Who was the largest recipient of BP money last cycle?

    That would be Pres. Obama.

Who gave BP a “categorical exclusion” from the Nat. Env. Policy Act, an exemption from any detailed analysis of the company’s environmental impact?

That would also be Pres. Obama.

Now who is in big oil's pocket?

  • This is Dumb everyone know we do not have dolphins in the great lakes or sea turtles. What we do know it David Leyton has Taken the voice of the people on his Facebook political site. If you say something he don't like you get Blocked.. He lets Crack heads get away with murder and I Mean that with paper work to back it. and he not for the people.. I am not with the GOP or The DEM's but any one running against him I will vote for.. Signed by Bobby Johnson Brother of a Murder Victim Flint No charg

  • After 7.5 years of having Granholm as governor what we do NOT need is ANY DumbocRAT in ANY office in the USA. I'm disappointed that the MI DumbocRAT party doesn't mention all the money that their posterchild for Socialism, B Obama, accepted from BP.

  • We're blowing the whistle on false and misleading political ads this year. The Michigan Truth Squad Referees called a FOUL on this ad. Visit our website to see why and to see who else is getting the whistle.

  • I added a clear and accurate comment and it isn't there. Could someone have decided to delete it? Thsi ad is scary-alas it is inaccurate. Bill Schuette voted to ban drilling in the Great Lakes. There's enough smeary oil without people adding to the smears. Have the courage to leave this remark posted.

  • Are you kiddin!!!!! This guy is so deep into big oils pocket that he's willing to risk this nations largest source of fresh water. With all else that can happen imagine no water to drink!!!!!

  • Unbelievable...just what we need in Michigan...NOT!!!

  • No more Drilling in the lakes or ocean. Develop other souces of energy and cars tht do not use ant gas.
