Whitetail buck looking for a fight Snort-Weeze at Decoy

TURN VOLUME UP!!!! Starts a little slow. I was hunting with Buffalo County Outfitters in Buffalo County WI when I got this video of a good looking young 8 point buck posturing at the decoy I had in front of me. I grunted 2 or 3 times at the buck when he first entered the opposite side of the field. The buck saw the decoy, and immediately came looking for a fight. After nearly busting me in the beginning, the hair was standing up on both the 8 pointer and myself as I was witnessed what happened next. The decoy I was using was supposed to mimic a 4 or 5 year old dominate buck. This 2 year old didn't care and wanted a fight. He gets right in the face of the "dominate" buck and proceeds to snort wheeze at him 4 times before walking off. Rut-crazed, testosterone fueled display. This was taken November 4th 2009.

I believe since this was only a 2 year old, not fully mature deer, it has not developed completely. Much like a jake turkey trying to gobble for the first time....this is all obviously just my opinion. Maybe someone else can elaborate.?.?.

I was filming for a friend of mine who did this sound 2 a 160 class buck , he left like u hit him in the ass with a boat paddle ,word to the wise if he is out of range and u know he is not coming your way OK , but u can fuck up a good thing ,don't believe everything u see on TV

@gbjeeper if you look at the way he looks at the decoy then looks away he isnt the dominent buck in the woods and if you were to make a grunt or snort weeze back he would have took off good video

He squared up like "WHAT"! but he was also very cautious. I would say he's not the "big boy" of the area b/c even when he stepped into the field he kept his ears swiveled around to make sure he does't get checked by the real big dawg of the area. Check out Wild Talkers video with Rod White he goes into good detail with this stuff. - good hunting guys!

@gbjeeper If you think that is a two year old deer you are stupid,there is no way that is at the most a 4 1/2 year old I think he was 3 1/2 a two year old,a 2 year old deer doesnt have a body like that,he was square like a suitcase,and you normally don't see an 8 like that,that is 2.Unless you have awesome genetics.
