My passat is alive again... tiptronic on the road

After the severe failures of the eBay gearbox, I decided to go for a new gearbox (returning back the used one, I got half of the price... I don't trust eBay gearboxes any more). Now it runs smooth and simply perfect... Still you can hear some noises under the chassis comming from the exhaust pipe hiting the bottom of the gearbox... I couldn't wait to record this video... the cat for automatic will arrive by the end of the week. One more thing: thanks to one of my friends in helping me to record the video

how many did you have to change for the wires? For example to the ECU?

I have built an AVF and TT5 in my 99-er 3B which was an 110bhp Tdi..

You just need to connect the TCU (transmission control unit) to the drivetrain databus... The TCU will dialogue with the ECU through can-bus... (rpms, %load, torque, ...)

Superb shifting....I repaired my tiptronic 5 hp 19 FNL type ....and hopefully it will run as good as before...NOTE : change the ATF oil every maximum 50.000 km so it stais alive longer.....I will post a video after i mount (myself) the gearbox end engine on the car so we can see the result...wish me luck.
