  • Manu is the one and only drummer only capable of making musical beats. At least I have never seen an other one that is so musical. Maybe there are technically more advanced drummers but that does not mean they are better in making music or cooperating with other musicians in creating the magic feel in the groove. Finding the right gaps and accents that make space in the music is a rare seen talent. Manu. Thank you so much for performing with all my favorite musicians! Manu = NO.1 drummer 4 me!

  • @TVRM3000 ... the ONE AND ONLY DRUMMER CAPABLE OF MAKING MUSICAL BEATS ?????? .... are you kidding me , even Manu would laugh at you for saying that .... As great as Manu Katche is , you need to get out more ...listen to some other cats ... listen to Steve Jordan`s feel , Dave Dicenso , Jeff Porcaro , and Jim Keltner ...there are so many amazingly musical cats to listen to

  • well i wouldnt agree that hes the best drummer but i like way he doesnt overdo his rolls and keepin the beat tight ....

  • @TVRM3000 .... you need to check out Dave DiCenzo

  • One of my favorite attributes of Manu's playing is his use of splash cymbals. The way he incorporates them into his playing is soooo very musical. The rest of us play splash cymbals with the frequency that he does and it sounds tasteless and amateurish. Manu is amazing, and one of the the most tasteful and musical drummers around. What a gift to music and drumming he is. I think his technique is underrated as well, some say he is not the most technical drummer. While true, he holds his own

  • @Dydreth .... if you had named anyone else I would not have replied , but i despise Billy Cobham . When I was a student at P.I.T. Billy came and did a clinic . He started with a solo , it was vintage Billy and it was good . Then he came out front to answer questions ..he said " I dont want any stupid questions " .. one kid asked him what kind of sticks he used ... so billy says " that is exactly the stupid question i dont want " ... breathtaking what a prick he is .

  • @sweetfly66 dont forget stanton moore, steve gadd, mark Kelso, Buddy Rich, Vinnie Colaiuta

  • Great!.. He´s Playing a Yamaha Rock Tour Custom Drums Set! with Turbo Sizes!.

  • Too bad drumming doesn't start before 4:50 :p

  • The two-splash fill at 1:33 gives me goosebumps!

  • Notice his different drumsticks here. One is a 5-A, the other, no head. Gotta love this guy's style - he's sorta the Carlos Santana of the drumkit - very personal, very effective. Le percussionist extraordinaire!

  • @sweetfly66 Greg Bissonette is definitely out there. From rock, metal, jazz, blues...he consumes just everything.
