We needed a little help telling the difference between all the flavors of distortion in the new Cool Cat effects pedal series from Danelectro, so company rep Danny Dugan was on hand to offer some practical, real-world examples. Fun fact: everyone who works for Danelectro is named Danny!
You know, somebody tried to give me a litter of Cool Cats once, but I didn't want them, so I put them in a sack and threw them in a river.
@strybel I don't think they make a guitar that would work for that

Those Lipstick pickups have a pretty fat sound though, try one if you have the chance.

Lousy!Led Zepplin is classic rock, you don't use a metal pedal for that.Unleash some Slayer or Pantera and we'll see what the pedal can do.With appropriate guitar this time please...

How are you supposed to demo a metal pedal with a danelectro guitar with lipstick pickups? You're not going to get anything close to a metal tone with that guitar.
