Now a couple of Rangers are just out for some recreational boating, I guess...and suddenly there's a rock! And then we're on board an aircraft carrier...and there are a copious number of "Z" emblems to be seen here. So really, just where does Zedd get his toys? And for that matter, why are all of Zedd's toys so immediately and completely at Ivan's control? He betrayed Rita and Zedd in the film, basically usurping the role of big bad for the purposes of the movie, but that doesn't mean the Putties should automatically do his bidding and that Zedd's impossible fleet of blimps and carriers and cars and bikes and who knows what else should suddenly find themselves at his disposal.
Not to mention that crashing a speedboat can't possibly be the best way to get on board an aircraft carrier...I mean, these kids have access to a very sophisticated teleoportation system...
Oh, right, I promised to be more forthcoming about the details of how the game actually works. Well, let's start with the basics of your player character's life and energy.
Now, probably the most vital thing to note is that you are given five blocks of energy...which, honestly, isn't that much. If you find a hamburger, something typically found in one or two canisters lying on the ground per stage. Mmm, ground-burgers...nutritious fuel for "teenagers with attitude."
Every non-mechanical enemy you defeat will typically drop a lightningbolt that will increase your Power gauge, allowing you to perform special moves (the meter will be pink if you have enough energy to perform your character's special, otherwise purple) or, with a full meter, morph into more powerful Ranger form.
You may morph once per stage if either player tries to use a special while their meter is full, immediately exhausting both gauges, although only the one for the player activating the morph needs necessarily be full, transforming both players into their souped-up Power Ranger forms while simultaneously damaging all enemies on screen and restoring both players to full health.
This time I chose Tommy, the White Ranger with the completely different look from the rest of the Rangers. Somehow I don't recall the guy being that...bulky, but then again, I also don't remember him being able to perform a "levitating" high kick like that. It's a very crazy-looking move, honestly.
Does anybody actually remember a Cannon Top monster from the television series? I don't claim complete encyclopedic memory of each monster of the week, but that one doesn't really stand out to me.
Cannontop was in the episode "Scavenger Hunt".

Man I feel so dumb, wish I knew you could jump to the background when I was a kid. Me and my younger brother would always die on this stage, either at the boss(stupidly moved to the end and tried to jump and kill the boss only to continually land on the spikes). Or on the platform part

@trans8010 There wasn't an air craft in the movie. But then, this game isn't really like the movie.

I remember playing this game with my younger brother A LOT. Never beat it; I only got to Ivan Ooze once and I got so nervous, I totally sucked at it and died. Oh well. Game still rocks (especially the music).

Kicking rocket-propelled grenades shot at you? That's so hardcore.
And Cannon Top is Carrot Top having gone evil...or something. Do those spikes in front of him do nothing? I like how the Red Ranger just jumps up and kicks him to make him explode.
