This shows how to set up for and begin to sewing a book on tapes. The second video shows the Kettle stitch in better detail and shows how to tie a knot inside a book.
Ask questions if you have any, I will answer. I don't check my YouTube mail as often as my Facebook page. It might be better to contact me there if your questions are pressing. Search for Sage Reynolds on FB. Or go to my main web site and use the email there.

  • this is a great video. cheers from northern indiana!

  • I have Bookbinding A Step-by-Step Guide which is a very detailed book showing you all the techniques for bookbinding, but it tends to overcomplicate processes like stitching and spine rounding and it ends up confusing you more than helping you.

Your videos are so clear, so well filmed and easy to follow. You keep the processes simple and easy to follow for the lay person - I'm really really impressed and very grateful that you would put all this time into posting your work. Thank you!

  • very skillful and wonderful video!

  • This is super thank you - but I cannot quite see how you did the kettle stitch? I am really struggling with this and now have stopped making my book as I am stuck at this stage! Nightmare!

  • Thanks - finally a video that covers and makes clear the whole process. Am now going to watch your other videos!

  • THank you for share this with us..FINALLY I found what I was lookinf for a long time...SEWING SIGNATURES...hehehe greetings form Mexico

  • Very imformative and I learned something new. Your tip on catching the thread to keep it from coming off the needle helped me with one of my most frustrating problems when it comes to sewing signatures. Thank you! Can't wait to watch your other v ideos.
