  • What do you think about Worth strings vs Aquila strings?

  • @NothingRhymesWithQXK, I bought Aquila once and removed them after a day or two. I'll stay with Worth. I am not an string-expert, but I will not buy any other strings as long as I can get Worth strings.

  • WS64: I just got a used Kiwaya KS-0 Eco thinline uke this week, just like yours! I love it so far: think, light, and tone is spot on. I have the stock strings, which I think are GHS, and they're better than I thought they'd be, frankly. I was going to put on some Worth Brown mediums, but the GHS is okay. Your strings and thoughts?

  • @coolkayaker1, I removed them immediately and put Worth on it. The KS-0 is right now my fav instrument, but it is not perfect. At least my instrument has some pretty blind spots around the 7th fret, even worse in D6 tuning. That's why this is my only soprano tuned in C6.

  • @WS64 I see, WS64. Ours seem identical, except mine has a lighte rosewood (?) fretboard, yours looks like an ebony fretboard. In my soundhole it says, model : KS-0 serial number 1388. You're a better player than me, so I'll take your advice and swap out to Worths. I have them here next to me now. cheers, WS64.

  • @coolkayaker1, i have no idea about rosewood or ebony or any other wood, but mine is number 1362,

That I am a "better player" (whatever that really means!) does not mean I know better which strings sound good on a uke.... (Or that I know how to tab something)

  • Great job Sgt. I like to play Christmas Music on the Ukulele. Go to the Leaflute Channel and check out "Silent Night," We have a Gentlemen from Tiawan playing a real Ficus leaf and it is so unique. He plays beautifully and Leonard plays Guitar and I play my 8 string Ukulele. Please check it out. Testaview & Leonard THE PAYNES

  • Loved it, great job!

  • @WS64 You have a point, my friend. But, let's say that I trust your judgement about the strings. Plus, your uke is 26 ahead of mine in the Kiwaya production queue. LOL Enjoying your videos, as always. And that twinkly little thing at the very end of Jingle Bells, it makes me wet my pants, it's so unique and gnarly. Thanks, WS64.
