Thumbs up to the nuns who starched their blouses! Shintô no o-miko-san always look so perfectly attired: Catholics should attain the same the level of attired perfection.

- '...From this galaxy (the Internet) will the face of Christ emerge and the voice of Christ be heard? For it is only when His face is seen and His voice heard that the world will know the glad tidings of our redemption, therefore, I dare to summon the whole Church bravely to cross this new threshold, to put out on to the deep of the Net, so that now as in the past the great engagement of the Gospel and culture may show to the world ' the Glory of God on the Face of Christ.' (Pope John Paul II)

My preference is for the traditional hymns, but Cathmomof32b, the Daughters of St. Paul get a pass if they want to branch out. This order has done some amazing work and I can't fault them for exploring other music types at all.

What a great video! I wish I could have seen the concert.
What happened to the lovely Christmas hymns sung reverently by our Catholic nuns? This was more like a high school production. Not to be a Scrooge, but Our Lord deserves much better.

We sing lovely Christmas hymns reverently, too. But the fun songs we are singing all have a message. The Latin expression for what we are engaged in here is "sancta hilaritas." (It was the hallmark of St. Philip Neri's ministry in the 1500's.) The concerts have won people back to the practice of their faith by witnessing that solemn piety and reverence are not the sole expressions of love of God.
