  • Bank? Can't pay your debt? We will bail you out.

Private citizen? Can't pay your debt? Throw you in jail.

  • @Secretgiveaway well you can point out the fact that bush, in his post 9/11ish glory...and i say that with the upmost sarcasm..decided to pass a bill to cut taxes for the top 10% of the economy, while the rest of us where doomed to pay for it. But for further thoughts..think on this...if you have bad credit..and trying to get a job, the employer can and most likely will deny you employment..that means...bad credit = no job = forever in debt. yet no one has noticed this "recycling" sign...

  • Ok I am a collections agent and we have to follow all these laws because if the FDCPA and ik all the calls are annoying and stuff but we are legitly trying to help the customers because the longer they are in debt the more calls and late fees they are getting and the card may be frozen or closed lol plus they are breaking the law also because they sigend a legal binding contract and by not makeing the payments they are in breach of that contract and could get in a lot more trouble

  • Wtf is occupying wall street going to do just a government made protest once again

  • When I was buried in debt, the dumb ass collectors would call at 8:00 pm and ask if I had the money. Then, they would call back at 8:05 and ask again. I could certainly understand them calling me because I DID owe the money. But, why turn around and call back 5 minutes later? I mean, what the hell could have possibly changed in 5 damn minutes? I eventually got all my debts paid off and am done with collectors. If I never hear from a collector again, it'll still be way too soon!

  • should have included multiple calls to people who aren't the debtor. And what constitutes 'harassment'

  • @nekad2000 you're sick!!!

  • @IRISHBUDDAFILTH Sounds like he was trying to give you some helpful and creative ideas on how to raise the money. You didn't like his particular idea obviously, but hey, he was trying wasn't he?

  • @imparfaite I hear you !!! I had one from India and they told me to have my 6 yr old daughter go out and give BJ's for money to pay my bill. There are some really sick people out there!!! I sued and the guy was put in prison and I won alittle bit of money.

  • @MsB0402 It's not really about that. But if you are struggling and falling behind, you don't deserve to be harassed and threatened by these pricks if you're being honest and trying to work something out with them until you get back on your feet. You certainly don't deserve to be lied to, or called at work when you've requested not to be. I do share you sentiment though, if you own them money, you need to be working on how to pay them back.
