Attack of the Retards: The Revenge (Part 2)

Remember the one with the Brawler, the Hedgehog, the Pirate, and the Lion? Well it turns out they have not gotten back from the war against the retards, yet, so it looks like 4 of our team members, plus 4 more vallant fighters, will take on the army of evil. A Martial Artist, a Historic Figure, a Doofus, a Wolf, a Monster, an Egyption, a ferret, and my arch enemy will all take on the army of retards, and it looks like the big cheese of the army is... NOT RETARDED!?!

Part 2 will feature three more retards, plus an honest, unbiased (Again, I swear) review of an overrated character.

Match 5

Mauru by Inverse Vs Maximum Frieza by GohanSSSomethingOrOther

What a mess! Of coarse, what do you expect from the Dark Lord of Bad Dragon Ball Z Mugen Characters. Ugly pallet problems, hardly playable, but at least he has his own voice.

Match 6

Red Snake by Fervecante (One of my favorite Mugen Makers) VS Kongoh by Actarus

Uh oh, there's that name again.
Audience: BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
The animations make it look like Actarus tried this time, but low and behold, it still sucks. His attacks are about the same as his other creations, plus, once again, bloated stats. I showed no mercy on this guy, which is why you don't get to see one of the worst parts about him. Like his Kirishima (Or whatever) Kongoh's win pose is him turning into a win QUOTE! Win quotes only work as a bonus to a win pose, and only if they are not the character and are centered. A good example would be, well, Red Snake. A bad example would be Kongoh.

Match 7

Ferret VS Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliances GBA Scorpion.

Let me tell you about Ferret. I love ferrets. Infact, I used to own a few of those squirrely rascals, myself. So to see a decent Ferret mugen character just warms my heart. Although the sprite work isn't that good, and he is kinda cheap, but other than that, it's a decent Mugen Character. And besides, I needed something silly for this next monstrosity. Ugh! The works! Pallet problems, underpowered, practically unplayable, and doesn't even play right. His spear is assigned to DOWN BACK PUNCH instead of BACK BACK PUNCH like it's supposed to be. Ugh, such a disgrace to Scorpion. Drastic retards call for drastic measurements.

Final Match

Pocket Mario by N64Mario VS Solid Snake by Seanaltly.

That is right, I am using my arch enemy, Mario, to beat the big cheese of the Retard Army. I used Pocket Mario because everyone else uses ShinRyoga's Mario.

Now for the review. As much as I would love to say that this character sucks ass. As much as I would love to say this character should burn in hell. As much as I would love to do a hundred fatalaties on this guy, I can't. This guy is actually not bad. But I can't lie and say he is not at least a little overrated. I can understand Seanaltly put alot of work into those sprites. He also put alot of work into ripping the sounds, too. So what makes him overrated? It's the fact that the character himself is just, well... Average. No really awesome moves except turning invisible. The rest of his moves we have seen hundreds of times before. I'm sure Snake is capable of more than this. Even if I didn't hate Solid Snake so much, I still probably wouldn't agree that he's Best Character of the Year material. I mean sure, THIRD best, maybe, like he got at Random Select. But absolute BEST like at Mugen Infantry, it just seems biased. It's like all the people who voted for him are all huge MetalGearSolid fans who have a Solid Snake poster in their bedroom that they hump every night before they go to bed. A little harsh, but still. Now, how do you know I am not being biased? Okay, let me tell you about ShinRyoga's Mario. As much as I hate Mario, I agree that that mugen character DESEARVES the praise it gets. He has awesome sounds, awesome sprites, awesome gameplay, and he even has four other modes. I'll admit, Seanaltly's take is LIGHTYEARS ahead of Ryon's version (Remember him?) but I still don't think it desearves best character of the year. I am being honest, okay. Do not flame me, he does NOT count as a Retard.

I read yoru review, and I think the part where you said "no really awesome moves" doesn't really make sense. The Solid Snake of MGS1 fires guns, chokes people, throws grenades, fires rocket launchers, uses quick martial arts combos, etc. This Snake does all that. I even threw in the Genome Soldier super. What would you have him do? He's very accurate to the source material in my opinion, so I don't really understand what the problem is.

Oh, sorry, how should I put this? I hate Metal Gear Solid. Therefore, I probably don't know much about a series I hate so much.

Also, I dunno, you could have done more with the box, or use that one device he used in Smash Brothers for something. Or maybe Solid Snake just wasn't meant to be in a fighting game. (Smash Brothers isn't a fighting game.) Is this Solid Snake based only on the First Game Solid Snake only, cause I at least know his voice came from the first game.

This Snake is based only on his MGS1 version, so I included attacks only relevant to the 1st game. He uses the box in an intro and in the Genome Soldier super, so I'm not sure what else I could have done. Honestly, if you hate the series and Snake in general, than this character was never going to live up to the expectations that winning a COTY award would bring. Also, I'm not sure why you decided to take such a condescending tone in the first part of your message. I was only asking a question.

If that's all you are going to base him off of, then so be it. And to be honest, I was actually being nice in the reviews. Also, the first part of my message came out wrong.

I will admit, though, he is kinda clunky, not that fun to play with, and that little death jingle when he dies the second time is hardly hearable. Other than that, I can see you put alot of work into him.

Also, in At Last! Cheese Cutters 6, there is a character with a sword that puts Sephiroth to shame.

I mean characters ingeneral. You got the Mortal Kombat 3 characters, Broly kicks your ass before the match even starts, you got sephiroth who takes alot of damage, pocket mario is cheap. Look at gba scorpion..it took for ever for him to attack!

While I am not sure I like the vibe of your post, I am not sure I actually get it, either. Mauru and Red Snake are perfectly fair. Ferret, yes, is actually quite cheap (But at least the strikers aren't entirely spammable) and Pocket Mario, yeah he is a bit cheap, too.
