I'm a part of the Hinsdale Central Gymnastics team, which has a very long and lasting tradition of great pommel horsemen. One of the best (I'd say the best) is Ted Marcy, who is famous for creating the "Flare" or as we call it in the gym... the "Marcy Break". An alumni from the school lent me this video, which is a video of him recording an old 8MM video of the 1976 College Nationals which features not only Ted Marcy, but some other very talented pommel-horsemen. This is obviously after Ted graduated from Central, so enjoy! I think its really cool to see where the flare was back then, or the Marcy Break.
(Ted is in the red jersey with a big "S" (for Stanford) and suspenders)
