modern cars are designed to cruise at 80-90mph.. notice all the accident footage is from the US, where the driving test is ridiculously easy. Germans managed to still have autobahns and don't have a higher percentage of deaths, its all down to education and people being more aware, logic and keeping their cars in roadworthy condition..

i think (and it would be best but expensive) that every driver would be allowed to drive as fast as his abilites alow him to... that means test every 3 years and... oh yeah, 70 mph and motorway like this?? oh come on, this isn't in the middle of town or any vital area... 90 would be cool... for those are experienced (tests ----> selection) sorry but dangerous aren't fast drivers, but unpredictable!

@ciara8365 it takes a lot more concentration to drive at higher speeds put it this way i ride r1 and if i do say 150mph i am tired after riding at that speed for half hour but if i cruse at 70-80 im fine cuz you have to think about stopping distances

The accident at 2:06 is a Jeep driven down a DIRT UNPAVED construction road by underaged, unlicensed drivers in the US. I don't think the issue here is speed!

i dont think the crashes are due to speed, its due to someone not paying attention.

It might be if other slower vehicles would see those people coming, but it is way to fast.
