Indeed.. I was riding one of those pods on the Southern Continent yesterday.. they seem to do well with the sim crossings, but because of my connection speed, hardly anything is rezzed when I am riding through the sims. Before riding I usually try to take off anything that will cause a ton of lag when crossing these sims.

Superb! Had me laughing out loud at the x8 crashes...and jumps...and the hasty u-turn when you missed a turn and found a dead end. Great link to find when you log-in :)

Videos like this are good tests for how well Second Life is doing. There is a great deal of gray textures, deformed sculpties, and a lot of objects completely unrezzed, so that they aren't even gray, they just aren't there at all. The road in front is frequently missing. Sim crossings are accompanied by the vehicle getting bumped or worse. If SL is was working properly, all the objects would be rezzed all the time, properly shaped & textured, with undetectable sim crossings.
@suezannec Stop kidding yourself. Such quality has never existed in Second Life.
