  • @dilipjoym that's why he said.. "IF THE PEOPLE LEARN AND CONTRIBUTE" not just every person...

  • I don't consider the huge population of India as a human capital since a large fraction of Indians are still illiterate and extremely poor (:

  • @juliathegreat he never implies for one moment that "grad-students are immature" ..but i think it immature of You to try and spread hatred over a speech that has almost Nothing to do with your country!

  • @juliathegreat what he means by "already-developed nations are all aging" is concept of 'Demographic Dividend' and 'Low Dependacy Ratio', you obviously didn't understand him.

" After all, are they not copying the models of the mature nations?"

you need to research the origin of technologies, just choose a field like, mathematics, astro-physics, medicine etc and spend 5 minutes researching it.

you should check (..just for fun) if ur pc runs on an ADM or an INTEL chip ..then research the company.

  • I understand India being the young generation of future and all but saying that young is everything while other already-developed nations are all aging, sounds rather too much. After all, are they not copying the models of the mature nations? Saying that we are going to get the knowledge from you, and we will kick your butt, sounds rather uncool. Respect goes both ways. Don`t think grad- students are that immature.

  • The more the Govt focuses on the poor the more will industry move to investing into and catering to the villages and smaller towns where 65% of the country lives .. stimulating demand from grass root level and not easily visible growth to industry which only keeps the cities buzzing with market speculators that only make markets volatile.... we need inclusive growth ...the economic disparity between cities and villages is staggering .....

  • Its very nice to count chickens before they are hatched , but we needs more participation in political and governance issues by our citizens , we think democracy is a spectator game and none of us participate, then there is the issue of trmendous economic disparity between backward thinking states ,which is resulting in mass migration to cities at a rate that cities can't cope and then the cities look like one big slum . People will always migrate to where hope for a better life lies.

  • Your point of India's population as a challenge is well known. But universal education andawareness is the best contraceptive that really works in the long term.

  • Ideas/ thoughts matter. Accent hardly matters to the general listener who wants the words to be clearly spoken.

  • Nice to hear the thoughts of one who has made a substantial impact on India's economy and job market as an IT business magnate. Of course his services to the global market which looks to his company are greatly benefitted as well.
