The opening for the 11PM broadcast of SportsCenter on the evening of Mother's Day 1996. This broadcast followed the Sunday Night Baseball Game of the Week of the Cleveland Indians vs. the California Angels.

This broadcast was anchored by Keith Olbermann (now the host of "Countdown" on MSNBC) and Dan Patrick (now with NBC Sports). We also hear Dan make a reference to Andres Cantor, and who knew Cantor would become the center of a famous Geico commercial 14 years later?

  • Do you have any more of the Sportscenters from that time?

  • It used to be that I could not, possibly would not ever dare miss the 11pm SC. There were amazing in those days. Now, to tell you the truth, I can't remember the last time I watched one. It's boring. I miss Keither, Dan and Kenny

  • What a glorious time it was to tune into SC and not have to hear about fucking Tebow or the Red Sox for 6 hours
