Soundstrike Press Conference Highlights

Rage Against the Machine have teamed up with other bands to host a concert for the "Soundstrike", a boycott of playing concerts in Arizone to protest the pending law SB1070. The concert took place on July 23rd, 2010 at the Hollywood Palladium. This was the first concert RATM has played in their home town since breaking up in 2000. When this law went down. It was as dumb as prohbition... It caused many to die.. prices of fruit and veggies to sky rocket. It caused many to fill their hearts with hate. It turned us into villans. they would rather be here and get less the min wage to pick fruit in the burning hot sun all day long... YOU DONT THINK THEY WILL PAY TAXES?

Cali is the biggest provider of fruit and veggies.. My chef told me u could go to a market and get 8 differnt types of apples. WHICH IS TRUE.... Thats how places make money. The sound strike is hurting the very people that they think they are helping, not playing a show in AZ means no work for those of us who work in the live music biz in AZ. boycotting is a cheap and simple way to oppose something with little effort. not everyone in AZ agree with sb1070 so why take away the music, bands please reconsider the effect that this will have.

@loserx69 good argument (straw man) "it's better than the federal version" as if that justifies it. And as for Mueller vs. Menya - that's an case study right wingers often use to justify that it's "less stringent" etc. Still the question is immigration law, and how to account for and find justice for the victims of the multiple cases of murder, rape, degradation and racial profiling ushered in by the current legislations.
