Who is the singer?

Aww, I love it!
And those toddlers at the table were just the cutest! :)
We won't have to feel so left out anymore.

Most Jews don't exchange presents for Chanukah, and especially not for eight nights! This is a clever song, but it does give the wrong impression to Jewish kids. How about leaving it at simply "eight crazy nights"!

The only problem that I have with this is that presents are generally not exchanged among most Jews on Chanukah. And certainly on each of the eight nights. It is a terrific song - I just wish that line was something else.

@asbpab1966 Good answers, very thoughtful to share that. Yes, you are correct, the Balfour Declaration occurred in 1917.

@Elinitsam But the tradition of gifts was an expansion of the tradition of "Chanukah Gelt" where children were given small coins. I use an oil menorah from a Hasidic Judaica store. The non-frum Jews have expanded it into a Jewish Christmas. The Balfour Declaration took place in 1917 during WW1.

@asbpab1966 It depends what you believe or how observant you are
