This is clear, simple economics. It won't work. There is a reason you can't find a single economist to back her plan.
And Clinton is the candidate best prepared to improve the economy? The very Clinton that won't take advice from economists?
She's buying votes. Even if it is passed (it won't be), the windfall tax will likely raise the price of gas by approximately what you save from the tax. That $30 savings probably won't even be that much.
lets say they do remove the tax, whats stopping the price of gas from rising? what, taxing the oil companies keeps the price of gas low,i don't think so, the tax on the oil company would just roll over to the consumer via higher gas prices!!!!
Obama is a joke! Transparency went out the window in my view when he HID Rev. Wright in the basement the day he announced! Uniter went out the window when his campaign said Bill Clinton was being racists in saying BO's voting record on the war was a fairytale (it was, he never voted against the war, not once when the time came that he could)He deceived many on his true feelings with the bitter comment and his black theology! He is nothing he promised to be. Vote smart, vote Hillary!
1) Funds from windfall profit taxes take away from Clinton's own renewable energy research fund. 2) It has no realistic chance of being passed (by Reps or Dems) 3) The benefits would be minimal - $0.19 per gallon. (90 days*1.5 gal/day*$0.19 = $25 per consumer. ooh! two pizzas). Though transport benefits might trickle to other industries. 4) If oil companies are forced to pay for this, why might they not just raise prices to compensate? 5) We need to LOWER demand, not raise it.
Thanks you are well educated and you know your math alot of Clinton Supporters just hear we are going to save money on gas and thats it they don't do the math it only benefits people thats driving Max trucks but thats not such a great deal either let them feel up their gas tanks and go across a shaky bridge and we will see them on the news stuck in a pot hole or hanging from a bridge I hope this doesn't happen but some people need to wake up
