  • I just received the Johns Hopkins Health Mag in the mail today. I had all the symptoms you describe and ended up having my neck fused 2 yrs ago. I also have a bulging one above and below the one that he fused. He told me "I'll see you in 10 years to fix those" THAT"S not what I wanted to hear. I live on Motrin. Just wondering if this doctor would be worth seeing if I do have to have surgery again down the road or is it better to stick with the doc who performed the surgery initially.

  • Dr. Gokaslan saved my life. I was given a terminal diagnosis by several other experts from other renowned medical institutions for a sacral sarcoma (lower spine) the size of a small football at the time of the initial diagnosis. I walked into his office at Johns Hopkins for the first time not knowing what to expect. He took my records and prognosis from the other experts, threw them in the trash metaphorically...and saved my life. He is without a doubt a living angel...and my hero. God Bless him

Does anybody at the Spine Center EVER answer the phone or return calls when someone is trying to schedule an appointment? I've been trying for over a week.
