Rep. Louie Gohmert expresses his outrage that AIG paid $165 million in executive bonuses after the company received $173 billion in taxpayer-funded government bailouts. Gohmert says this is not the change we were promised by the President who just weeks before said during his address to Congress and the American people that "CEOs won't be able to use taxpayer money to pad their paychecks."
The $840B bailout was an evil necessity. However as usual there was no oversight where this money was going -it was just handed over to these failed institutions. Gohmert has the right to be angered like the rest of us in regards to these bonuses, but where was he when Bush & his Republican Congress enabled the CEOs to credit swap on their watch?

I agree real change is needed, but it seems all these lawmakers can do is hand them money over and over and just talk and NEVER do anything about it!
