My all time favorite version of Aguas de Marco - I love the way he lets the guitar and his voice just drive the song. Other then Ellis Regina's version, I think it was Jobim's favorite version of his song. I don't know if you can think of an authentic version of any song, but somehow this version just fits with the song.

@Queenesy I was referring to the link you posted which is basically a try to play the original piece. Of course they could not copy the feeling of the first recording. I will look for a link in the youtube and send to you. Take care s

@MrJVictor88 yep, it is a version in hebrew! and quite good, one that leaves you to think about the original piece. but this so called english version, is way too fast, un-emotional, just gibrish! it was a brave attempt to fool around, nothing more.

@TrujishoC not that it's any comment on your preference, but as a sidenote: Jobim did write it originally in English, which was quite an extraordinary thing for a Brazilian composer to do at that time.

Yes...I believe that is Abraham Laboriel.... this is on a DVD set of PBS tv shows hosted by Ramsey Lewis...some great performances ...
