  • Will update as soon as a record fall mag 5 record close to been broken. Just 20 to go to reach the most mag 5 quakes ever recorded since the seimegarth was build in the 1930's

  • These numbers are not statistically different from one another, poissonian statistics say that

Over 8 should be in the range of 0-10

7 to 7.9 should be in the range of 5-30

    6 to 6.9 should be 130 - 200

    5 to 5.9 should be 1900 to 2200

Without there being a significant difference in rates

  • @drkstrong USGS average Quake per Year mag 8-9.9 (1) 7-7.9 (15) 6-6.9 (134) 5-5.9 (1319) Well above average

  • @angelicscorn It is not whether it is above or below an average number but you have to look statistically in the range of those numbers over many years.

  • @drkstrong Dark the mag 5's are almost dubble the highest amount ever recorded before 2004. This decade was the most active since the seismegrath was built. Which was in the 1930's all quakes before that was educated guess work

  • 2011 could take 3 most active spots will have to see what happens
