Good video thanks for posting it. I was hoping for more clips but the clip you have is great. Brigs back memories of this day in 1979. How the town heard the news and how scared and frightened we were. I do remember outsiders coming into our town to do reports on this accident. Seeing that brought back memories that Pa lived threw the TMI meltdown in 1979. That was a scary time for us here in Pa. Thanks for sharing this video with all of us.

Three Mile Island happened 12 days after the multi-million dollar blockbuster CHINA SYNDROME was released. Mega stars, mega marketing. Then POOF. Result: Nuclear power was sullied and soiled, while devil-we-know oil kept hold and entrenched big oil interests benefitted. Cheney and Rumsfeld were in the White House and had been at power for years. 30 years later, Obama licenses first two new nuclear power plants in 30 years, followed 6 months later by BP GULF OIL disaster. When will YOU wake up?

OMG!LOL I love It The reporters are waiting in line for a pay phone classic 1979 Today in 2009 they would have all had cell phones as the customers and the cashier probably would have been on there cell phones as well letting there friends and family know terry ruggles is reporting the news from there supermarket,Omg! I forgot all about the camera phone as well,we were all probably more happy without this modern technology and did not realize it.....
