I remember those two videos once uploaded by STSDVD. I have no Idea what ever happened to those videos. But I wish they were view able online. I got this view from another video of the STS-51-L launch.

The shuttle had already throttled up by the time the call had been made from the ground to the shuttle (and Dick Scobee responded). The call is made to confirm the throttle up procedure had been completed and that main engine performance was good. The call was a shortened way of saying "We have throttled up and all looks good here." They had no way of knowing at the time that the SRB was in the process of breaking loose from the external tank and causing the breakup of the shuttle.

Agree. There was no explosion or any kind found in the accident. The shuttle broke up due to aerodynamic forces. Once the shuttle was no longer flying straight forward as designed, it broke up. The speeds alone were aenough to break the shuttle apart. The crew was srill alive after the break up. The investigation proved that the g forces upon break up were not enough to kill a person. But it was confirmed that impact with the ocean at 24 mph was more than enough to kill them.

Actually, I was wrong. The pilots last words are reported to have been "Uh-oh!", not "Oh no!"
