Not only Freire has a brilliant technique but also he has a great musicianship. He is a great artist. This is the best interpretation of this rhapsody in you tube. I prefer it over Hamelin's and Rubinstein's. I recently bought Brahm's piano concertos ans Schumann CDs. Both of them are wonderful. I wished he had recorded more Liszt's pieces.

@Borbas22 Il est très connu au Brésil ! Il est même passé au Journal télévisé de Globo et l'un de ses enregistrements a été utilisé dans une novella ! Il joue très régulièrement au Brésil et un documentaire de Juan Moreira Salles y a été projeté dans les salles de cinema.

I had the whole recital and a LOT of other stuff by Freire, but I lost my hard drive once and everything with it. I randomly saved this somewhere on a separate dvd. The Rachmaninoff is from a diffirent recital I believe, like the Moszkowski. He wears a white bow tie and a darker suit there.
