The grabbing & humping is a form of domination between males. It usually is not a sexual thing, unless there is a female & male. My alpha male (Boxer) will grab the others in this position and growl in their ears. It always makes them submit, so it serves it's purpose!

@DawnysDoggies i wouldnt compare dogs to children at all. people do that but in reality a dog cannot speak, cannot rationalize, do not have self-awareness, and do not have the ability to know what the outcome of their actions will be after they do them or what someone will feel like once their actions are fulfilled. dogs are distanced from us by billions of years of evolution, our mind is completely different to theirs, dogs are wolves thus asses wolf behaviour in the wild and thats what u do.

@AzzurryStreet I get what you're saying, but giving point blank generic advice stated as "fact" as far as how a dog 100% will or won't act is like trying to do the same for parents regarding children. What may work for 99 dogs, may not work for the 100th dog. I AM the dominant one at my house. That doesn't mean that my dogs won't still try to dominate each other. Sort of like children bossing each other around. They know the adult is in charge. They will still act on their own impulses/desires.
