Wow, great video :).
I've enjoyed all of your videos to be honest, but the try to remember the cards thing was great. A quick and easy method to memorize them :P. Also, it's refreshing to hear a French accent instead of a French Canadian one. My french teacher is from quebec and pronounces things really strangely >_>.

peut être parler du cavalier dans le jeu de tarot ?
et completer par le synonyme de "la reine" = la dame.

in the description you say:"
A deck of cards
= un jeu de cartes"
shouldnt it be "un jeu DES cartes" since cartes is plural?
myiPodnoturs 3 years ago
no cuz here "de" is a preposition which stands for "of"
LeylaRandomness 3 years ago
but i thought de + les = des
myiPodnoturs 3 years ago
do you say "the deck of the cards"? NO, you don't. so there's no "de les"
LeylaRandomness 3 years ago
out of curiosity... why does la reine have a "D" and not an "R"?
danielpchen 4 years ago
the D stands for "Dame"
actually I made a slight mistake in the vid: in french we tend to use "dame" more than "reine". "Reine" is acceptable too though! I guess it helps to differentiate with the "R" of Roi.
thanx for your question which helped me realize...
