Robin the Rat Health Update: Wheezing Noise and Limping

Robin's feeling his age (two and a half), and has developed a few health problems. He wheezes a bit when he's finished eating, which is a very cute noise but also a bit alarming since it means he's having respiratory problems. He also is suffering from some nerve degeneration in his hind legs. We took him to the vet for an x-ray, which fortunately showed no bone damage or lung congestion, so it's just a matter of supplying antibiotics and trying out some pain meds, and keeping an eye on him: he needs easy access to food and water, and shouldn't have to labor in order to breathe.

Not sure about the limping, and I'm sure you've already found this out.. But the wheezing is a respitory infection. I recently brought one of my little boys in for the same thing.
