On Christmas Eve 2004, it began to snow. Snow, here on our tiny south Texas island home. It had been over 50 years since we had had more than even a trace of snow and we had about 5" in a twelve hour period. And to top it off, a white Christmas was way too hard to believe.
Oddly enough, non islanders complained about something that we natives took as a miracle.
My background music is 'Winter Holiday' performed by the Port Aransas high school band.
I played this for the perk kids at school a couple of weeks ago- they were in awe and made me play it over and over... Most of them have never seen snow... Thanks for preserving a special moment in port a history!

I remember that year. It was a trip. I spent my youth in North TX waiting for a white Christmas, and the last year in Port A of all places, I get one. Thanks for the upload.

Thanks for this video. I love Port A. I vacation there every year for almost my whole life. Never thought it would be under snow!
