Bas I have a question to ask you. I am a 2nd year (soon to be 3rd year) university student at bradford university, england. I am planning on doing a 15,000 word dissertation on wether there is a link between creativity and mental illness. Im wanting to argue that there is a link but perhaps that it isnt fair to reduce creativity to a mere symptom. Im wanting to use various examples and think you'd be a good current example I could use as well as stephen fry.

There is a chapter on the connection in "Creativity: The Magic Synthesis", but I guess it's just another one of hundreds of books on the subject, although I did like that one especially. Also google video has a documentary which is interesting:

It's about the connections between mathematicians/geniuses and madness.

Thanks for being so cool about the dissertation and thanks for all the videos you do. It's nice to see someone putting thought, time and effort into videos they upload on youtube. Too much of other people's things are complete drivel. Rest assured, yours are making a difference.
