@Finfint Yea, on the PC (non-DOTT) and Amiga versions the Steel Security Door can't just be opened; you have to use the keypad (which is in plain sight) and enter a code from the manual, and if you get it wrong, the meltdown sequence starts and can't be stopped.
Or maybe it's due to the keypad onto the door behind that was used in previous versions of the game(I dont remember wich one) that needed a code in the handbook (f*cking hack protection)
Initially, they had argued and were allowed to keep it under one condition (I forget what it was), but they couldn't meet the condition, and removed it.

The condition (I now just found out again) was that nonexistant pubic hair must be removed.

Yeah, it got removed due to NoA censorship but at least you could still zap the hamster in the microwave

In the prototype, there is a statue here with a plaque on it. That might have something to do with this glitch.

Did you try the red button at the bottom of the pool?

OMG! That is awesome! I only thought there were 2 ways to blow up the house (Cutting off the electricity and draining the pool). Sweet!
