This beaver showed his annoyance at my presence among his downed trees by tail slapping twice at a distance before swimming to within forty feet of me and tail slapping again. The high pitched sound is from spring peepers (frogs.) The grunting noise is the autofocus on my Kodak Z612, something the company I hope has been fixed on more recent models.
