Finally a D/E vid~ I've missed TVD so much, I am so happy it's coming back :) This is AU, mainly a play on the lines "You should have met me in 1864, you would have liked me." "I like you now, just the way you are." I like the coloring I had, I finally got my 'Soft Contrast' back and I am obsessed with the vignette haha. I have wanted to vid this song forever, and I finally picked up on it again. The real push was THIS AMAZING Andrew/Emma/Jesse video by lizpotter4cp, one of my favorite vidders, this has to be one of my favorite videos of all time.

Summary: Elena likes Damon, but they always fight and never see eye to eye. Elena somehow goes back in time to 1864 and begins to befriend Damon for who he really is, back when he had his humanity. He has to help her blend in and they get to know one another. She falls in love with 1864!Damon but keeps thinking of present Damon and her feelings for him "I don't love you but I always will." Then Elena realizes that she has to go back. They never forget one another, and he gives her a letter to remember him by. She goes back to the future, and she is finally able to start a relationship with Damon after finding out who he really is.

I was also really influenced by Mary who makes really amazing Damon/Elena manips on tumblr. She had this amazing photoset that had me wondering how it would have been if Elena had went back in time to 1864

The video was really good. Was innocent, peaceful and does who don't know the series is interested. But I din't like the parts that was instrumental in the black screen, left the video with sensation that stopped., and and the video hadn't almost visual effect. I give you 8.
