Bravo, Prof. Thurman! Thank you for saying this in common sense terms! Let's get the impeachment efforts going and let's start with Boehner!

This guy is a far left nut case. I actually agree with his point about members of congress renouncing and ignoring any pledge to an outside organization. However, his claim these congressmen are trying to destroy government is absurd. There is an honest disagreement about how big a disfunctional government should be. He literally demonizes the right for standing up and saying these massive deficits will ultimately destroy this country. Both sides need to stop this devisive nonsense.

What part of the Constitution (until 1912, as you say) forbade income tax? Can you quote the text please?

I think he means in the sense that right-wing libertarianism is corporate anarchism -- the capitalist class wish for anarchistic freedom from restraint on their ability to exercise their power the same way that slaveowners from Greece and the American South hypocritically harped on about "freedom" before going home and lashing a slave or two.

Wow! what an astonishing manipulation of words! There are some who disagree with the president and his followers because he is doing anything but following the constitution; the law of the land and it states limited government interferance, limited taxes, free markets, personal responsibility and liberty.

The part about the pledge being a violation of prior oath is interesting and probably very true and worthy of sharing this message. But suggesting that these folks are "anarchists" is as absurd as calling Obama a "socialist". They are simply working government to the interests of those that finance them. Not anarchists... capitalist class.
